Overview
What is eCATLOG?

eCATLOG is a digital catalog platform for any product-based business. Instead of sending PDFs or flooding WhatsApp with photos, you create a live online catalog and share one link with your customers. They browse, add to cart, and place orders — directly from their phone. No app required.

Why not just send a PDF?

PDFs go outdated the moment you change a price. eCATLOG is always live — update a price once and every customer sees it instantly, everywhere.

Step 1
Set up your account.
A

Go to ecatlog.com and click "Create new account"

Fill in your Firm Name, Contact Person, WhatsApp number, Email, User ID and Password. All fields marked * are required.

User ID cannot be changed later — choose your brand name or something memorable
B

Login and open Settings

Click the gear icon or go to Settings tab. Upload your business logo, enter your address, WhatsApp number, and footer message that appears on every catalog.

C

Set your currency symbol

Type your currency symbol — ₹ for India, $ for USD, £ for GBP, AED for UAE, etc. It will appear next to all prices across every catalog.

Step 2
Create your first catalog.
A

Click "New Catalog" on your dashboard

Enter the catalog Code (short unique identifier) and Name (e.g. "Summer Collection 2026"). Set the Valid From date — it defaults to today.

B

Choose how to add products

You can add products manually one by one, or bulk import from a CSV/Excel file. You can also combine both — import a list and then edit individual items.

C

Set catalog expiry (optional)

Add a Valid Until date to automatically hide the catalog after a season or campaign ends.

Step 3
Add products.

There are two ways to add products — manually or via CSV import.

Manual entry

Click "Add Product" inside the catalog. Fill in Item No, Category, Sale Price, Discounted Price (optional), Min Qty, Unit, and Description. Upload a thumbnail image and up to 4 additional images.

CSV / Excel Import

Click "Import CSV" inside the catalog. Your file must have a header row with the column names below. Columns are case-insensitive.

Column NameExampleRequired?Notes

Description 2Available in 5 coloursOptionalAdditional detail line.
Filter1 / Filter2 / Filter3CottonOptionalExtra filter tags for customers to browse by.
Tag1 / Tag2NewOptionalBadges shown on the product card.
⚠ Product Name column is not used — the Item No is the product identifier
Step 4
Upload product images.
A

Thumbnail image (main photo)

In the Add/Edit Product form, use the Thumbnail Image upload button. This is the primary image shown on the catalog grid and in order emails. Saved as the Image Name filename.

Images above 1400px are auto-resized before upload — no need to resize manually
B

Additional images (up to 4)

Use the Other Images section to upload up to 4 more photos. You can reorder them by dragging. Customers can swipe through all images in the product detail view.

Select multiple files at once to upload remaining slots in one go
C

Bulk image upload (fastest method)

Go to the catalog's Manage ItemsImages tab. Upload all your product images at once. Name each file exactly as the Image Name in your CSV (e.g. D2201.jpg, D2202.jpg).

Image names are case-sensitive on upload — D2201.jpg matches Image Name "D2201"
D

Multiple images via bulk upload

For extra images, name files with a suffix: D2201_1.jpg, D2201_2.jpg, D2201_3.jpg, D2201_4.jpg. These automatically link to the matching product as images 2–5.

Two clients, same image name?

No conflict — images are stored per catalog. If Client A and Client B both have an image named "cloth.jpg", they are stored separately and never mixed.

Step 5
Share your catalog.
A

Get your catalog link

Inside the catalog, click the 🔗 Share or copy link button. Your link looks like: ecatlog.com/catalog/youruserid/catalogcode

B

Paste the link in your WhatsApp broadcast list or group. Customers tap the link — the catalog opens instantly in their browser. No app needed for customers.

C

Put the link in your Instagram bio. Post product photos and tell followers: "Full catalog with prices in bio link."

D

Share different catalogs with different customers

Create separate catalogs for different customer groups (e.g. retail vs wholesale), seasons, or product lines. Share only the relevant link with each group.

Step 6
Receive & manage orders.
A

Customer places an order

Customer browses the catalog, adds items to cart, enters their name and WhatsApp number, and submits. You get an email notification with the full order including product images.

B

View orders in dashboard

Login → Orders tab. See all orders with customer details, items, quantities and totals. Use the search bar to find specific orders.

C

Download the order PDF

Click PDF on any order. Generates a clean sheet with product images, item codes, quantities and grand total — ready to send to your team or keep for records.

D

Update order status

Mark orders as Confirmed → Dispatched → Delivered. Keeps your order book organised and helps track fulfilment.

Managing items
Items table features.
🔍

Search products

Use the search bar in Manage Items to instantly filter by Item No, Category, or Description.

Bulk delete

Select multiple products using checkboxes, then click Delete Selected to remove them all at once.

📄

Pagination

Items load 50 per page for fast performance, even with 200+ products. Navigate using the page buttons at the bottom.

Edit a product

Click the edit icon on any row to open the full edit form — update price, description, images, and more without leaving the table.

FAQ
Frequently asked questions.
QCan customers order without creating an account?
Yes. Customers just open the link and browse. They only enter their name and WhatsApp number when placing an order. No app download or signup required.
QHow many products can I add?
Free: 15 products per catalog. Basic (₹199/mo): 50 per catalog. Starter (₹499/mo): 100 per catalog. Pro (₹999/mo): 300 per catalog. Enterprise: to be discussed. Upgrade anytime from Settings.
QCan I have multiple catalogs?
Yes. Free: 2 catalogs. Basic: 5. Starter: 10. Pro: 25. Enterprise: to be discussed. Create separate catalogs for different seasons, product lines, or customer segments.
QCan I update prices and products anytime?
Yes. Every change is live instantly. Customers who open the link after your update see the new prices immediately — no need to reshare the link.
QDoes eCATLOG take a commission on orders?
No. eCATLOG charges a flat monthly subscription only. All orders and payments happen directly between you and your customers — we take nothing from each sale.
QWhat happens if two clients have the same image name?
No conflict. Images are stored per catalog — completely isolated. A file named "cloth.jpg" in your catalog is separate from the same filename in another client's catalog.
QCan I use a custom domain?
Yes, on the Pro and Enterprise plans. Contact us and we'll help you set up your own domain so your catalog link shows your brand name instead of ecatlog.com.
QCan I register with the same email or phone again?
No. Each email address and WhatsApp number can only be used for one account. If you need to create a second account, use a different email and phone.
Tips
Get better results.
📷

Use portrait product photos

3:4 ratio images look best on product cards. Good lighting and a clean background increase conversions.

🏷

Name images exactly as Item No

When bulk uploading, filename must match Image Name in your CSV exactly — including uppercase/lowercase (D2201.jpg ≠ d2201.jpg).

🗂

Use categories for filtering

Add a Category to every product. It creates filter buttons that help customers find items faster.

💸

Show discounted prices

If you have an offer, set a Discounted Price lower than Sale Price. Both show on the card, making the deal clear.

📦

Set minimum quantities

Use Min Qty to prevent orders below your lot size. Customers see the minimum on the product card.

🔗

Share the link, not screenshots

Customers can browse all products and place an order from a link. Screenshots show only one product.

🗓

Create seasonal catalogs

Create a new catalog for each season or campaign. Set a Valid Until date and it hides automatically when the offer ends.

📊

Import from Excel first, then add images

Import your product list via CSV to create all items at once, then bulk upload all images in one go — fastest way to go live.
